This rare black bamboo shakuhachi was made by a potter who lives in New Zealand and grows this unusual bamboo in his back yard. The flute is light making it easy on the hands for long blowing sessions. It has excellent volume and good balance and tuning. The flute's pitch is "A". Walnut oil has been used to protect the bore.
